Stoney Bird has been car-free for the last 20 years. It’s a good way to save money, stay healthy, and have fun when you are going around town. He served for many years as a corporate lawyer. More recently he has been involved in local environmental, transportation and social justice issues.

Stoney died on Aug 12, 2024. He wrote seven articles for NW Citizen, mostly promoting Rank Choice Voting.
