Candidate Statements

Before public office elections each year in Whatcom County, we at NW Citizen will post a candidate provided statement of up to 600 words from any candidate for any office on our county ballots.   We will include a photo of the candidate, if provided.  The statement can be posted anytime between the end of filing week in May and Oct 15. 

Per the preference of the candidate, the statement can post exactly as received or we can lightly edit for spelling, punctuation and clarity.  Statement should be sent as a Word or Pages document, or in the body of an email.  Photo must be separate, attached as a jpeg.
