Today's Bellingham Herald has a guest article by Charlie Sheldon, our former Executive Director of the Port of Bellingham.  Charlie was forced to resign by Port Commissioners Jim Jorgensen and Scott Walker during a series of unexplained behind the scenes maneuvers on the weekend of March 31 and April 1.

One of the facts he validates is that commissioner Jorgensen contacted him on Saturday about noon, March 31, to force his resignation.  One of the falsehoods he exposes is Scott Walker saying that Charlie had only planned to spend 2 years or less as Port Director.

It is a  much appreciated communication directly from Charlie.  He has remained publicly quiet during the past four weeks.  We appreciate the Herald posting his comment and Charle letting us all know his take on this sad political issue.
