Saturday, Aug 31 - 3:15 p.m.

We learn this Saturday that President Obama made the decision only last night, and almost on the spur of the moment, to seek Congressional authority to bomb Syria.  Finally, we Americans - we citizens - we voters - have a modest chance to exercise democracy.

A demonstration against war with Syria is going on right now in downtown Bellingham - and Riley Sweeney has it covered on his Political Junkie website.   Riley will no doubt cover this issue well.

To Obama:  No.  Do Not Bomb Syria

By John ServaisOn Aug 30, 2013

Gee, can we make it any clearer? Publisher opinion. So sad that we have to write this to Obama - who got our vote in 2008 because he said we should not have optional wars.
